Is there a glass bottle alternative when using the stainless steel carbonation cap?

The stainless steel carbonation cap uses an industry standard thread size, so any bottle that has these threads will work with the carb cap.

Making your own carbonated beverages at home is easy to do, plus it takes away the many uncertainties about what store-bought brands may contain in them. One question we often get asked, however, is can I use my soda kit with glass bottles rather than plastic bottles?

While we don't sell bottles, the soda carbonation cap uses an industry standard thread spec PCO-1881. This is the thread that is commonly found on 1L and 2L soda bottles and many other PET style containers.

DIY Carbonation Safety

We understand the concerns of using plastic bottles, but one thing to keep in mind is that when carbonating your own beverages, using plastic is much safer than using glass. If the pressurized glass bottle is dropped, knocked over or over-pressurized, it can easily explode.
