PRO Manual Keg Filler Coupler with Auto Fill Stop
This device is designed to quickly and efficiently counter-pressure fill Sanke D kegs with carbonated beverages, ensuring minimal foam and maximum speed. It is a cost-effective solution for filling carbonated beer kegs without hassle.
How It Works:
The Proline Keg Filler Coupler with Auto Stop utilizes a counter-pressure filling method, which requires the receiving keg to be pressurized higher than the supply keg (typically 1-2 psi). This pressure difference prevents beer from flowing until the receiving keg's pressure drops below that of the supply keg. Our PRO auto stop features an adjustable PRV valve on the top which allows you to adjust the pressure output from the valve for best flowrate and eliminating foam.
The fill stop assembly feautures a small hole below the base of the PRV adjustment dial which gradually releases gas from the receiving keg, allowing the beer to flow slowly from the supply keg into the receiving keg while minimizing foam. The fill stop is engineered to automatically shut off the flow once the keg is full, ensuring an efficient filling process with minimal waste and foaming.
The entire filling process typically takes about 8-10 minutes, and the system automatically stops when the keg is full.
How to fill Sanke Kegs with the PRO Keg Filler with Auto Fill Stop
Before Beginning: Ensure that the fill stop valve body is pointed upward when the coupler is installed to ensure proper operation.
- Ensure both valves on the Proline Keg Filler are closed.
- Attach the top 1/2" Barb of the Keg Filler to the beer supply (bright beer tank or keg) via hose. Connect the Keg Filler coupler to an empty pressurized beer keg.
- Open the beer valve on the filler.
- If beer begins to flow back into the supply keg, quickly open the PRV vent on the fill stop to release pressure.
- If beer starts flowing into the empty keg, wait to open the PRV vent until the beer flow stops. and slowly vent the fill stop until beer beins to flow sllowly again
- The keg should be full in approximately 8-10 minutes.
- As the keg fills, the ball inside the fill stop assembly will float to the top, cutting off the flow of beer once the keg is full.
- Close the ball valves on the filling coupler.
- Detach the coupler from the keg. Lower the engagement lever to drain any residual beer from the fill stop assembly.
- Clean and cap the keg.
- Be sure to clean the filling coupler and fill stop.
- Failure to clean throughly will result in the fill stop sticking and not working prioperly for future uses.
This sanke filling/washing coupler is outfitted with ball valves to allow you to control the flow in and out of both ports. The check valves have been removed from the coupler so that liquid can flow in both directions through the ports. The ball valves have 1/2" Barbs on the ends for attaching 1/2" I.D. hose to when transferring your beer or cleaner to/from the kegs.
This Sanke D coupler is used for filling or cleaning your American-style Sanke D kegs.
