Who is this CO2 Pressure Transfer Kit for? This is for anyone with a conical fermenter that has a tri-clamp fitting on the lid. What does this CO2 Pressure Transfer Kit do?This kit allows you to "force" beer out of your fermenter into your keg. Without a pressure transfer kit like this one, you'll need to use either gravity or a siphon. Gravity will require the fermenter to be positioned higher than your keg - this can be a tough proposition for anyone with a large fermenter. Siphon? No. Why not just use a bucket or carboy. Don't. You'll lose many of the benefits of using a conical fermenter. How does this connect to the Chronical fermenter?Simply, it uses a tri-clamp fitting. All you need is a tri-clamp and a gasket in order to attach this to your fermenter. How is this connected to CO2?The attached swivel nut on the gas hose allows for easy connection to most regulators. Once connected to the regulator, it is easy to test the pressure by turning on the CO2 flow, adjusting your regulator and pluggin the out valve on the tri-clamp. A 1-3psi transfer pressure is recommended. It can be hard to dial the pressure in depending on your regulator, but the attached low pressure regulator is great! My regulator did not register any pressure and the low pressure gauge on this CO2 Transfer Kit read at approximately 1.5psi. Transferring beerOnce connected to CO2 and the pressure is dialed in between 1-3psi, you can begin pressurizing the fermenter. Once the fermenter has been pressurized, you can open the valve to begin transferring your beer to a keg. Note: you'll need a hose connected to the fermenter to allow the beer to flow into your keg.

For the purpose intended, this kit is great. It allows you to apply (and measure) pressure to my conical fermenter. I've successfully "pushed" a batch of beer from my conical to my keg with no problems. This product does what it is meant to do.Why did I give this product 3 stars? I feel like this product should have options. I did not need the swivel nut on the end. I happen to have a tank/regulator that will be dedicated to pressure transfers. My regulator happened to have a barb on the end. Easy enough fix. I just cut the swivel nut off and attached the hose to my regulator, but I think this product could be improved with the option to choose your connection type.

I love being able to push my hoppy beers directly into the keg without exposing them to oxygen.Between the Ss Brew Tech fermenters, my fermentation fridge and now my pressure transfer kit from Brewhouse Hardware, my beer is becoming top notch!
