Only water and coffee (or tea). Our cold brew systems come with everything that you need to brew large amounts of your favorite beverage, and transfer filtered, ready to drink liquids into your storing or serving vessels. We do recommend certain cleaning and sanitizing products for our system that can be found on our website as well.
This will vary depending on your ratios and steeping times. If you are brewing concentrates, you will be using more grounds, which will in-turn absorb more water. So for example; If you were to fill our 15 Gallon system full of coffee and water, you can expect to collect about 9-10 gallons of concentrate, or 12 Gallons of ready-to-drink Coffee (these numbers will vary slightly depending on your ratios).
A keg of coffee can last quite long (months), if your equipment is cleaned and sanitized properly prior to using. With that said, we do not recommend keeping on tap for months. We recommend brewing new batches weekly if you are serving in a retail location to maintain the best tasting freshest product for your clients.
YES! That is one of the added benefits in using a stainless steel system. You can add hot water to it without worrying about leaching plastics, flavors or aromas into your cold brew. Hot blooming cold brew coffee or tea is a great way to get new flavor profiles!
Better equipment makes better cold brew.
